This month City hosted its first professional Money Management workshops made possible through donations to the City Future Fund by alumni, staff and friends.
The courses were offered to City students who were interested in bettering their personal financial management. Black Bullion ran two informative and useful sessions covering topics such as budgeting, savings and avoiding debt, with students given the chance to talk and ask questions about both current financial pressures and long term financial skills.
We received overwhelmingly positive feedback from the attendees, particularly about the trainer’s passion and expertise. We anticipate these workshops will help students learn how to budget before they are in financial trouble and avoid them having to rely on financial support. We look forward to extending the workshops to more City students in 2012-13.
