Deputy Vice-Chancellor David Bolton has served on the joint Steering Group on Outward Student Mobility chaired by Professor Colin Riordan, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Essex.
The Group’s latest report, commissioned by David Willetts, Minister of State for Universities and Science, explores incentive and obstacles to outward student mobility in the UK. Among the report’s recommendations is the proposed development of a national strategy for outward mobility and a sector-led body to support it.
The minister has tasked the UK International Unit to present options for supporting the progression of the recommendations at this summer’s International Education Advisory Forum.
