Title imageThe theme for this year’s Learning at City Conference will focus on inclusive learning and the call for abstracts is now open to City University Staff.DSCF0628

This year will mark the 7th successful year of the annual conference and will see it being held off-site and open to external presenters and delegates for the second year in a row.

Last year’s conference, on the theme of Students as Partners in Learning,  attracted 130 delegates and presenters from as far afield as Ohio University and Santa Catarina in Brazil and this year we hope to, once again, welcome presenters and delegates from across the world and from a broad range of disciplines.

The day was very interesting, great to interact and meet people across the University/ further afield – some sessions were great, some good but generally really good food for thought and some interesting ideas! – Feedback from the 2014 Conference

The call for abstracts is now open to staff from City University and you are invited to submit proposals via the online Abstract Proposal Form.

The call for abstracts will be extended to external colleagues from 23rd February.

Is Learning for Everyone?

Within the theme of inclusive learning there are a range of sub-themes you could focus upon for your abstract and these include:

  • Valuing diversity and promoting inclusivity
  • Inclusivity across the student life-cycle
  • Flexible learning for inclusion
  • Building an inclusive learning community
  • Concepts of Inclusivity

We want you to share your practice, innovation and research in this area. We anticipate that this topical theme will provide excellent opportunities for discussion and debate during the conference.

Proposals are invited from staff and their students who wish to present either:

  • A 30 minute presentation (paper)
  • A 60 minute workshop
  • A poster
