Post-Conference FAQs
Q. When will the presentation slides be available? A. On or before Friday 29th August. A unique access link will be sent to the email address entered for correspondence at the time of registration. If this date has passed and you have not received your link, please email BAS2025@citystgeorges.ac.uk with proof of registration and these will be sent to you directly.
Q. When will I receive my attendance certificate? A. On or before Friday 29th August via the email address entered for correspondence at the time of registration. Online Attendee FAQs
Q. When will the log in links be sent for online attendees?
A. On or before Friday 15th August – using the email address entered for correspondence at the time of registration.
Q. Are we using Zoom for online attendees?
No. The conference will be delivered via Teams. Delegates will not need a Teams account to attend – just the link provided in your joining information.
Q. How will online attendees view posters? Is it via the programme?
A. Posters will be included in the digital proceedings booklet sent out to attendees on or before the 15th of August. Three online poster presenters will be invited to share their posters online via Teams during the Tuesday and Wednesday lunchtime poster sessions. All other poster presenters attending in person may be contacted using the details listed on their poster in the programme.
Q. I’m having trouble getting online during the conference. Who can help?
A. Our wonderful online conference co-ordinator Elaine Scougal will be available to help with online queries throughout the conference. You can call her on: 01382 381 326 or email her here during the scheduled conference hours.
In-person Attendee FAQs
Q. Where can I find the delegate handbook?

Q. I find conferences can be a bit overwhelming, is it ok to take a break?
A. Yes. We encourage you to manage the demands on your energy however is best for you during the conference. There will be a quiet room available near the main lecture theatre for you to find some peace and to recharge.
Q. Can I take drinks into the auditorium?
A. Yes
Q. Will there be places to fill up my water bottle?
A. Yes. We have requested a couple of extra water stations in addition to those already available in the main conference venue.
Q. Can I still sign up to attend the conference celebration on Tuesday 19th August at Discovery?
Yes – if you are attending in person you can register to attend the conference celebration event. Tickets can be booked online through the online store. If you register anytime after the 11th of August, we will ask you to forward your confirmation email onto us at bas2025@city.ac.uk as proof of payment.
Q. Do I need to register to attend the conference reception on Monday 18th August?
No. If you have registered to attend in person on the 18th of August, you will be automatically eligible to attend the conference reception event at the DCA from 5.30pm – 7pm. Please note, a drink will be provided at no cost. Dinner will not be provided. Guests should make their own dinner arrangements for Monday evening.
Q. Is there anywhere to park at the conference venue?
Yes. View Dundee City Parking Map (opens as pdf document). The closest parking to the Dalhousie Building is Hunter Street Parking (No. 1 on the linked map). Parking costs depend on the number of hours parked.
Q. I’m staying in onsite accommodation. What do I need to know?

Q. I still need to organise my accommodation. Can anyone help?
There is some last-minute availability for the onsite accommodation via the following link: 🔗Student Accommodation | Sanctuary Students. Please note however, this cannot be paid via invoice. Use the code CSG2025 to get the specific rate for this conference (£160 flat fee for up to four nights.) Sanctuary accommodation have a minimum of 3 days advance booking which means that the delegates will need to complete their bookings 3 days ahead of the planned arrival date. All attendee FAQs
Q. Is the aphasia accessible session open for all delegates?
A. Yes. Everyone registered for the Monday is encouraged to attend the aphasia accessible session in the afternoon. You will be joined by members of the local community living with aphasia.
Q. Will I get a conference tote bag?
A. No. We ask you to bring your own bag in the interest of sustainability. We will be providing other goodies for both online and in-person attendees.
Q. Is there a conference hashtag?
A. Yes! Please post about the conference using the hashtag #BASconf25. We will be monitoring Bluesky and LinkedIn. Tell us, and others, what you are thinking about, and tag your post with #BASconf25.
Q. Will the presentation slides be available to delegates?
A. Yes! Presenter slides for all talks will be available to all delegates after the conference.
Presenter FAQs
Q. I’m a presenter. What do I need to know?

Q. I’m uploading my slides to be shared after the conference. Do I have to retract the notes for the distribution version? Or are you just circulating a pdfs of the slides?
A. By default, slides will be shared as a pdf version without notes. If you would like them to be shared in a different format, please indicate this on the filename when you upload your slides.
Q. Can I cite my contribution in future publications?
