Advice and Information from the MSc Admissions team

Get Active at City, University of London!

No doubt you are aware of the benefits of regular exercise. Not only does it help to keep your body healthy, studies show that it also reduces stress and can improve concentration and memory. What more could you want when studying for your Masters?!

There are many opportunities to continue with your favourite sports whilst at Cass Business School, and with so much on offer, why not take up something new? Joining a sports club or exercise class is a great way of making new friends and socialising outside of class. You can see some of the sports clubs available at Cass on our website. Aside from these, CitySport at City University London has a wide range of activities, including American football, climbing, cricket, football, tennis, rugby and squash. If team sports are not your thing, there are plenty of exercise classes to take your fancy, such as Box Fit, Pilates, Spinning and a running club.

If you are joining us for September 2014 intake you will benefit from our brand new sports centre, due to open on Goswell Road in late 2014. Check out the video below, giving a virtual tour of the facilities. Boasting an Olympic quality six-court sports hall, a 100-station fitness area and four multi-purpose studios, we hope you agree that these are cutting edge facilities.

Of course, if you can’t find what you are looking for within the University, you could join one of the many clubs throughout London. An advantage of living in the capital is that whatever sport you are into, chances are there will be a club to join – you name it, we’ve got it! Some gyms require a membership, but you can often find stand-alone classes that you pay for on a pay-as-you-go basis. Here are some websites to help you with your search: Get Active London, Totally Sporty London. You can also keep in touch with CitySport through their Facebook page.

So take a break from your studies and get active!
