Scholarship Webinar – February 2018

We recently held an online Scholarship information session for our offer-holders, which gave more details on our scholarships and how to apply for them. Dr Nikolaos Papapostolou gave an overview of the Stelios Scholarship, and we were also joined by two of our current Stelios scholars. If you missed the presentation, please find the recording in the link below.

Scholarship applications open for 2018 intake

We are pleased to announce that applications for some of our scholarships for 2018 intake are now open!

  • Stelios Scholarship – applications accepted on a rolling basis, but applicants are strongly encouraged to apply by mid-February 2018
  • September 11th Insurance Trust Scholarship; Pettman Scholarship; Fondazione Pietro Barbaro Scholarship; Haberman Fund – deadline 8th May 2018

In order to be considered for a scholarship, applicants must have accepted, and paid the deposit for, a conditional or unconditional offer of a place on a full-time MSc degree at Cass Business School. We do not accept scholarship applications from applicants who do not hold an offer on an MSc degree at Cass Business School.

How to get the most out of the MSc Careers Fair on September the 29th

In our last blog entry Relationship Manager, Sara Williams, talks you through how to best prepare for the annual Cass MSc careers fair….

 

About the Fair:

Cass holds its annual careers fair for MSc students during the induction period before term begins – this year it is taking place on Friday 29th of September and full details will be given in your induction presentation as well in the fair guidebook you will receive in the induction week.

Careers fairs give you the chance to meet employers face-to-face, and to learn about current vacancies and opportunities available. The recruiters are trying to market their organisations to you. However, the Careers fair is also an opportunity for you to market yourself to potential employers.

Why do we hold it so early?

We hold it at this time because many of the employers attending the fair will have already opened their graduate recruitment process and many will have deadlines for applications in October / November.

How to prepare:

Remember that the deadline for the majority of scholarship applications is 2 May 2017 – late applications will not be accepted. In order to be considered you must have fully accepted your offer by paying the deposit and submitting the online offer response form by 2 May.

2017 scholarship applications open

We are pleased to announce that scholarship applications are now open for 2017 intake!

To see what we have on offer, and the eligibility criteria, please check out our website.

All applications must be made online, and there is a separate application form for each scholarship. We advise you to prepare your short essay answers in advance, as the form cannot be saved and returned to. You can preview the questions here.

To help you complete your application, we’ve put together a presentation giving an overview of the application process and a look at the application form itself:

Scholarships Presentation 2017

To be considered for a scholarship you must first have fully accepted, and paid the deposit for, a conditional or unconditional offer on a full-time MSc course. The deadline for Cass Scholarship applications is 5pm BST on 2nd May 2017.

Decisions are usually made by the awarding panel from June until August, and we will inform candidates of the decisions as and when they are made.

Some scholarships are awaiting confirmation for 2017 intake. Please keep an eye on our website for further information.

If you are not eligible for a Cass Scholarship, you might be eligible for an external award or student loan.

How to apply for our Master’s degree courses

Are you interested in applying for one of our MSc courses and want to get a head-start on preparing your application? We have lots of advice in our new ‘How to apply’ video, covering everything from how to gather information about our courses, to submitting the application and what steps to take after receiving an offer.

We accept applications on a rolling basis, but recommend that you apply as early as possible to maximise your chances. To see how you could benefit from submitting an early application, see our previous post.
