The future of Cities and Culture

In what has turned out to be a very busy week Andy is very pleased to announce a new publication. Andy was commissioned by the UK Government Office for Science Foresight Committee on the Future of Cities to write a paper on Cities and Culture. (click to download here). The Foresight programme seeks to provide strategic guidance and insight for all parts of government by providing a long view of change. This commission is focused on the Future of Cities. The task is somewhat daunting, Andy was asked to look back 50 years at cities and culture in the UK, and then look forward to what their form may be in the next 50 years. blog related to the report is accessible here.
