‘Awaken your incredible’

Congratulations to CCI’s Ros Gill and Ana Sofia Elias for their brand new publication in the 10th Anniversary issue of the International Journal of Media and Cultural Politics, hot off the presses this week. Their article, titled “Awaken Your Incredible” ( an advertising slogan they have borrowed/pastiched from Weightwatchers) takes apart the phenomenon of ‘Love Your Body’ discourses. It attempts to understand their power in a world in which women are routinely taught to hate their bodies, yet also seeks to critique their limitations as a form of cultural politics.
