Jo on MeCCSA executive committee

Jo Littler has been voted onto the MeCCSA Executive Committee by MeCCSA members. MeCCSA is the subject association for the field of media, communication and cultural studies in UK Higher Education. The field includes film and TV studies, media production, journalism, radio, photography, creative writing, publishing, interactive media and the web; and it includes higher education for media practice as well as for media studies. The Association is recognised by, and works with, government departments and other agencies. It represents the subject area by making recommendations to bodies including the AHRC, the ESRC, the QAA, the Higher Education Funding Councils and Skillset. It runs networks devoted to media practice, women’s media studies, race, ethnicity and post-colonialism, disability, social movements and post-graduate issues; holds an annual conference, supports a variety of events and runs several email lists.
