The Dynamics of Virtual Work

The new book series,  The Dynamics of Virtual Work, which CCI’s Rosalind Gill co-edits for Palgrave, is going from strength to strength both in terms of sales and interest from authors in publishing in the series.  The editors at Palgrave said last week that it is one of the most vibrant and successful series they have been involved with. Launched in January, twelve books are contracted, with several more under review. The latest signings are Phoebe Moore who is looking at  new forms of surveillance at work, connected to the so-called quantified self, and Enda Brophy who brings an autonomist Marxist approach to communicative capitalism, shaking up conventional understandings of call centre work. Ros’s own book on Aesthetic Labour (co-edited with Ana Elias and Christina Scharff) will be published in December. https://www.palgrave.com/us/series/14954
