CCCI at CoDes – Formative Congress in Sustainable Development

On October 1st to 5th, Jenny Mbaye (CCCI) was invited to participate to the third edition of the Formative Congress in Sustainable Development (CoDes) (http://codes.nanouki.com/es) dedicated to the African continent.

Co-organised by Nanou Ki and Wiriko (https://www.wiriko.org/), CoDes is a youth initiative which  offers an alternative and innovative educational format to explore the realities and values articulated in an a globalisation era.

The event, which took place in Valladolid (Spain), welcomed over 40 speakers from different countries and disciplines, with panels, roundtables and workshops focused on three sub-themes: ‘Artivism’; ‘Resistances’; and ‘Policies and International Relations’.

Jenny offered three workshops on ‘Creative Cities and urban transformation through art’ as part of the sub-theme ‘Artivism’ devoted to analyse the popular expressions born from the different African peoples describing the struggle that each one represents and the basic problem that they denounce, through the development of the local culture.
