This sounds like an excellent initiative. Although I do not exactly meet the criteria (my master of laws degree was from Queen Mary College, London) I did my MBA at City University and am therefore an alumnus albeit in a different discipline.

To give you a summary CV following the LLM I went into employee relations/human resources and worked for Massey Ferguson tractors, Prudential, Cable and Wireless and Zurich Financial Services. I finished the employed part of my career as Director of Employee Relations and Reward at Zurich. About 10 years ago I and an ex colleague set up a small company providing consultancy services in relation to employee relations, reward design and strategy and employment law and we continue to trade successfully even in these recessionary times ! So as you will appreciate I continue to use my specialism in employment law even today (my masters major subjects were individual and collective employment law)

I appreciate you may already have more than enough speakers but if you are still short of suitable “guinea pigs” and the CV looks interesting enough I would be more than happy to help out. Regardless of your response I wish you all well for what as I say above is a timely and much needed event for your students. I look forward to hearing from you in due course.

    Regards, Alf Worsfold B.A.(Hons) LL.M M.B.A.
