Masterclass and Alumni Reception, Greece

If you are an alumnus currently living or working in Greece, we would like to invite you to a joint event being hosted by City University London and Cass Business School at The Hotel Grande Bretagne in Athens.

The evening will include a choice of two Masterclasses followed by a drinks and canapés reception. The reception will provide an opportunity for you to network with other local alumni from a range of industries and professions, prospective students and University staff.

Provisional itinerary

18:30 – 19:00 Registration and Welcome Drink, Grand Ballroom

19:00 – 20:00 City University London Masterclass by Maria Sarafoglou (Journalism 2004). Maria is currently a journalist for ERT S.A. Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation, where she presents a daily news program called Symvainei Twra. Maria’s talk, ‘Hard news in tough times‘, will look at the media’s coverage of the Greek economic crisis in relation to the European reality and political developments in Greece.

19:00 – 20:00 Cass Business School Masterclass by Professor Nikos Nomikos, Professor of Shipping Risk Management and Director of the MSc in Shipping, Trade and Finance on ‘Trading Opportunities and Risk Management in the Freight Markets’

20:00 – 21:30 Reception, Grand Ballroom

      Yes, it is on the 27th – the 25th was a typo in the e-bulletin.
