Big Dave's Little Stroll

David Redmond (BVC 2006, LLM Criminal Litigation 2007) is walking the length of Great Britain to raise money for Help for Heroes, Macmillan Cancer Support and the MS Society.

Called “Big Dave’s Little Stroll,” Dave is going to walk from John O’ Groats to Lands End. Starting on 30th June 2014, he will be completely on his own, will be carrying all his own kit for the entire journey and will be sleeping in a tent every night.

His rules are simple: no cars, buses, boats, trains or planes… no donkeys or other livestock… no hitching a lift on a passing teenagers handlebars or nicking the skateboard or rollerblades off of the local kids. Only pure leg power is going to drive him for the 1100 or so mile journey and what is more… he is aiming to achieve this in about 50 days (give or take).

All the money raised will be divided equally between his three chosen charities: Macmillan Cancer Support, MS Society and Help for Heroes.
