#citylis news: LISDIS 2016 Conference Bookings and Call for Papers Now Open

Following on from the announcement of the Institute of Historical Research Library Workshop Series: Emerging Research in Library and Information Science Seminar earlier this week, details have been announced regarding this year’s Library & Information Science Dissertations Conference which will take place on November 5th this year at UCL.

A call for papers has gone out to those who have completed a LIS Dissertation since 2013 and not had presented it or had it published.  You can present it in 15mins or create a poster for display.

Again, this is a super opportunity to brush up on your presentation and communication skills.  It’s also a great way to further use all that information you collected together and have stored up inside you and share it with the world.

If you don’t fancy presenting, or are due to write a dissertation and want inspiration, then you can bok your place to attend here.

Additionally: Thanks to lovely sponsors, BAILER (British Association for Information and Library Education and Research), there are travel bursaries for six attendess travelling from further afield.

We at #citylis are very proud to be sponsoring Lunch!  Details of the other sponsors can be found here.

Best of luck to all who apply to present – it would again be amazing to see a #citylis contingent there showing the other Library Schools what we can do!
