caregiver advisory group

The members of the caregiver advisory group are parents and caregivers who provide researchers with a community perspective to help guide the development of the research study.

The role of the Caregiver Advisory Group (CGAP)

CGAP members are drawn from the London boroughs who are the main focus of the study: Haringey, Greenwich, Southwark and Croydon. They meet regularly to consider questions raised by the research team, who value their insights in to the perspectives of parents and caregivers in communities where the study is being conducted.

  • The members provide a valuable community perspective that helps to guide the development of the study.
  • Engagement with CGAP members and study participants ensures the outputs of the research both appeal to key community audiences and help to ensure the results are acted upon.
  • CGAP members provide additional channels for the dissemination of study results through their community networks.
