Humanitarian Communication MOOC from the University of Geneva

Learn about the main challenges of humanitarian communication and how to address them. The Centre for Education and Research in Humanitarian Action (CERAH) at the University of Geneva is offering an exciting online opportunity to learn about new developments and create networks across borders.

Massive Online Open Courses – or MOOCs – is an opportunity to take university courses over the internet so you can access them from your home or workplace.

The course goes through topics such as concepts and definitions, communication structures, the challenges of humanitarian communication, the communication project cycle and designing communication plans. The teachers include Prof Doris Schopper, Dr Valérie Gorin and Jean-Marc Biquet from CERAH.

The course runs over five weeks, and it’s being offereed three times during the first half of 2017. The start dates are 21 February, 28 March and 25 April. There is a free option as well as a paid one costing £39. The MOOC is offered through Coursera.
