The Team, the Training, and the Tools

In a modern university we rely on an array of systems and technological solutions to operate everything from keeping records on our students to selling Graduation tickets. In order for staff to make the best possible use of these systems with the least difficulty, Information Services offers a range of training sessions.  These sessions are designed to get staff comfortable with using the systems in a safe training environment (rather than the live system) as well as to get them thinking about how to best use these systems in their own areas.

The Team

20151216_163432 it-services-150Training is conducted by one of our two Business Systems Trainers, Anna Frimpong and Jo Pentecost. Jo and Anna are professional trainers with a wealth of experience in using the university’s business systems.   To get in touch with the team please contact ittraining@city.ac.uk.

The Training

With a number of training options to choose from, you can train in a way and at a time that suits you. As well as the regularly scheduled sessions, IT Training offer bookable 1-1 sessions, which are flexible to fit around your schedule. The team will make every effort to accommodate your needs, particularly for new members of staff.

Can’t make it over to the IT Training room? Why not take training over Skype for Business?  With video and voice calling, application presentation and screen sharing capabilities, Skype for Business can bring the training room to you!

Looking to train your team on a system? The IT Training team can work with you to set up a bespoke session, or series of sessions, to get your staff the training they need. The team can also make house calls to your office to deliver a presentation on a number of systems, including Office 365 applications.

For enquiries or assistance with accessing IT Training please contact Jo and Anna at ittraining@city.ac.uk.
