Our fantastic Specialist Services Team have spent over 1 year working on a new reception area in the main University building, a Pavilion and a Hub area.
The Hub is the new flagship lecture theatre with around £150,000 worth of AV being installed, including 3 laser projectors, a digital audio system and flexible/movable furniture. It will have the ability to live broadcast HD video and audio to any television and potentially any PC on the University network via our (new) IPTV system.
The Pavilion is a brand new structure located where the old SU Bar used to stand. It’s a large glass open space with two 75″ screens and several ceiling speakers for screening anything from sporting events to presentations. The Pavilion has also been kitted out with a digital wireless audio system and is fully Crestron controlled.
The new Reception will have a 5 screen video wall above the new desk which will show live images of the London skyline from a 4K resolution camera which SST will be installing on the roof; we believe this is the only such system of any University in the UK (and possibly beyond).
The new spaces are due to open later this year.
