INTERSECT works with principle investigators (PIs) from different high income and low-middle income countries to collect cross-cultural information on the prevalence of postpartum PTSD, as well as differences in the etiology and presentation of childbirth-related PTSD worldwide.

Those investigators working on the project have the responsibility to translate the INTERSECT survey (where needed), have the study approved by their local research ethics board, and recruit postpartum women in their country to complete the INTERSECT survey.

The study is currently working with collaborators from countries listed here. If your country is not currently involved and you are interested in joining the INTERSECT consortium to conduct the survey in your country please contact with a member of the research team by emailing
