External Examiners – Guidance updated for Moodle 2.6
External Examiners play an important part in maintaining high, nationally comparable, standards for programmes at City.

To help enhance our programmes and observe fair practice in the assessment of students’ academic performance, staff from outside the institution may be asked to review submitted work and grades, much of which will be on Moodle or other City Educational Technology systems.

We appreciate that so many leading academics and professionals contribute to our students’ experience, so the LEaD Educational Technology Team have updated overview guidance to help External Examiners with the most common tasks for their role in Moodle 2.6.

While not exhaustive, it should provide some initial help on logging in and navigating in Moodle, as well as accessing submission and looking at grades for many different kinds of assessment activities.
