Moodle 3.2: Improvements to adding or removing sections

There will be a few small changes that can make big impact for you in Moodle 3.2. These changes will help to improve your user experience when adding and removing content from your module pages on Moodle.

From our Focus Groups this year, we found out it was too complicated for staff to locate “Add/ remove section” icons placed at the bottom-right corner of the page when editing module pages. Icons were too small and not very self-explanatory making the process more time consuming than it should be.

This will be improved in Moodle 3.2. The small Plus and Minus icons will be replaced with Add and Remove section buttons at bottom of the module pages.

With these new buttons, it will be easier for you to add and remove sections especially when you are working to prepare your modules for the next academic year.

Another small change that will be implemented when adding a new section is that you no longer have to uncheck the box “Use default section name” when adding a topic name. Every click counts to save your time!
