As part of our series on what’s new in Moodle 3.4, this post highlights the two improvements to assessment in Moodle.
Accepted File Types
Last year, Lecturers and Course Officers could restrict the assignment file types accepted by Moodle assignments. However, the accepted file types had to be input manually. In Moodle 3.4, you will be able to select common file types from a drop-down list making it easier to set accepted file types for assignments.
Grade by reminder
When setting up a Moodle assignment, you will be able to set a grade by reminder for Lecturers. This provides a timely notification for lecturers in Upcoming Events on the My Moodle page and Module Events within Moodle modules.
