Jisc’s ‘Intelligent Campus’ comes to City

Jisc Intelligent Campus
Student choices at an intelligent campus?

Building on their work in learning analytics, Jisc are working on a research and development project in the area of the intelligent campus. One aspect of the intelligent campus is to look at ways to use data to be able to make smarter use of a university or college estate, for considerations like improving the student experience.

They are running a series of community events on this subject, and City is delighted to be hosting the third one, on January 17th. The event is being held in the Oliver Thompson Lecture Theatre from 10:00 to 4:00, and lunch will be provided. City staff and students are welcome to attend.

If you are working in the area of the Intelligent campus and are interested in work being undertaken in this space by others, curious about educational initiatives happening in the sector, or have ideas for what you’d like to see City’s campus look and operate like in the future, this could be the event for you.

You will have the opportunity to discover more about Jisc’s work in this space as well as hear from others about what they are doing in this emerging area. Some of the subjects covered typically include:

  • Smart City
  • Smart Campus
  • Wayfinding
  • Mapping
  • Space Utilisation
  • Smart Buildings
  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Learning Spaces

There will be plenty of opportunities for discussion and networking. Click here to book onto the event. Find out more about what Jisc are doing on their project blog.
