City, University of London seeks to recruit a fixed term (18 months) Educational Technologist as part of Learning Enhancement and Development (LEaD). LEaD is a multiskilled service that supports, develops, and influences education at City. We contribute to educational strategy; run a Masters in Academic Practice; work with staff to further develop their pedagogic practices; help implement and develop educational technologies and learning spaces; and support students in need of learning support or counselling.

This post is offered as a fixed-term position for 18 months. The postholder will work as part of the Educational Technology Team’s School Liaison team, working with School academic and professional staff on School-specific educational projects and initiatives, providing support and training where required. They will also have the opportunity to work with the Ed Tech Project Leads on cross-institutional projects, such as the Learning Analytics Project (LeAP) and Designing Active Learning Initiative (Learning Spaces).

The postholder will have experience of supporting educational technologies, such as the VLE and lecture capture systems, and providing advice and guidance on the appropriate use of technology to support learning, teaching and assessment. They will have experience of managing small-scale projects and delivering training on a one-to-one and small group basis. In addition, they will have a collaborative approach, excellent communication and organisation skills and be able to work flexibly in a complex working environment
