Workshop
The SPGA Finding Your Future module was co-designed by Careers & Employability and the Employability Lecturers in the School.
The workshop (designed for academic colleagues, interested professional services staff and students) will address how the City St. George’s Graduate Attributes were embedded within the assessment for the SPGA Finding Your Future module (a cross-School Career Focus module). It will explore how doing so can inspire students’ engagement and motivation towards reflecting on skills development as it applies to preparation for their future careers. We will share examples of student reflections from these assessments. It will also explore how the assessment links with the City St. George’s Employability Award.
Learning outcomes:
- Describe the City St. George’s Graduate Attributes and how they relate to the curriculum
- Explore how to engage students with reflecting on their skills development, drawing on their motivations to find a fulfilling future career
- Analyse the use of the Attributes in an assessment
- Determine how the Attributes could be applied in your own practice
