This weekend (3rd-4th December) there will be some potentially noisy and disruptive work on Level 2 of the Northampton Square Library. This is in order to re-open the main entrance to the Library. The other levels of the Library will be open as usual for group study (Level 3) or silent study (Levels 4, 5 and 6).
If you joined City as either a student or staff member recently, you may not have realised that there is another entrance to the Library. It has been concealed behind hoardings, near the Library reception desk, while the work on the University’s updated main entrance has been in progress.
However, from next week, the original Library entrance will re-open, and you will be able to enter the Library from the main entrance or from the level one walkway, past the new lecture theatre B200. A lift from the main entrance will also provide accessible entry.
