Library Workshops for the School of Health Sciences

During October Subject Librarians from the School of Health Sciences will be running a range of library workshops for students, researchers and academics.

These workshops have been designed to help you get the most out of Library resources and develop effective research skills. Booking is essential for all workshops and can be completed by visiting our Library Workshops Calendar or click on the relevant date/time below.

Discovering health resources to help with your studies and research

The aim of the session is to make attendees aware of the various resources available which can aid their research and study needs. We will cover how each type of resource can be useful and at what stage of your course / research they are most beneficial to use. The session will be demonstrative rather than ‘hands on’.

Searching for literature for your undergraduate Health Sciences dissertation

This session will cover how to do an effective keyword search using the databases in the Ebscohost and Ovid Online platforms, the search strategies used to construct your search as well as the search tools to help focus your search.

Researchers: Developing a search strategy for your dissertation/systematic review

This session is for Masters and PhD students, researchers and academics who are about to begin working on their dissertation/systematic review.

If you have any questions about the workshops please contact your Subject or Research Librarian
