While we continue to provide the comprehensive online support via chat, Ask Us and online appointments, we are now also introducing limited access to study spaces and PCs, as well as to requesting items via a Click & Collect service.
These services are by appointment only, so in order to be able to visit campus, you will need to confirm you slot, as University Security has to be notified of your visit in advance.
Returning books to Northampton Square
If you are able to travel to campus, you can now return your loans in person.
Book Return Box is situated outside the main entrance to University Building, and it is open Monday to Friday from 10am to 4pm. Please be aware that there will be a delay in processing your returns, due to required 72-hour quarantine of the items.
If you are a final year student unable to return your loans to the Book Return Box, please contact us.
Printed books from University Library
If an item you require is available at Northampton Square Library, you can request it via CityLibrary Search. Once we confirm that the item is ready to collect, you will need to book a morning or afternoon pick-up slot between Monday and Friday. After showing your City card, you will be given bag with the item(s) you requested already issued to you, but please note that unless you also booked a study space, you will not be able to remain in the library.
Study spaces and PCs
On Level 2 of Northampton Square Library we have arranged 14 computers and 6 study desks that can be reserved for the following half day slots: 10am – 12:45pm and 1pm – 3:45pm. You will be able to book one slot per day.
Your safety
While on campus, please remember to follow current advice on social distancing and face coverings at all times. Use hand sanitizer and cleaning material provided when required.
Before your visit to Northampton Square Library please remember to review the Health and Safety checklist
