If you are working on a dissertation or final year project there is a huge amount of support available from CityLibrary:
Library workshops
You can sign-up for workshops (in-person and online) on how to use CityLibrary Search, subject specialist academic databases, citing and referencing and other specialist research tools and resources. Many of these workshops are also tailored to specific Schools.
Appointment with a Subject Librarian
If you’d prefer to get one-to-one support, you can book an appointment via the Library Training page and meet with a member of our team in-person on campus, or online via Teams. You can even book in small groups too.
Library Guides
Whether you need pointing in the direction of expert resources, or guidance on how to search for literature systematically, we have multiple Library Guides online covering every subject area.
Quiet place to study
There are quiet and silent study spaces available in all of our libraries – remember, you can use any library, as long as you have your ID card to tap-in.
Recommend a book schemes
If you suddenly discover an exciting new book which would be perfect for your work, but we don’t have it in the collection, request it via our Recommend a book schemes page.
Access to other libraries and their collections
As a City St George’s student you also have access to Senate House Library (including online resources), other University of London libraries, as well as university libraries across the UK. Plus don’t forget you can register for access to the British Library too. Find all the details on our Using other libraries page.
