Congratulations to Dr Simpson!

Jess Simpson passed her PhD Viva with minor corrections on Monday this week. Her thesis is titled: ‘Poles apart? A comparative analysis of female university students and graduates working in the UK stripping and hospitality industries.’ Her examiners (Professor Teela Sanders from Leicester and Jo Littler from City) described her thesis as an ‘impressive and thoughtful piece of work’ which makes an original contribution to debates on employment, gender and class, and the changing nature of higher education. Her supervisors have been Rachel Cohen (pictured here with Jess) and Eugene McLaughlin. Congratulations Dr Simpson!
