SUPERB study findings

There are three videos from the SUPERB trial which show what we found.

The people with aphasia who took part in the study and their significant others told us about how they are adjusting to life after stroke. See video 1.

Video 1 – Adjustment after stroke and aphasia

 

Half of our participants took part in a peer-befriending scheme. The other half had usual care. We compared these two groups. See video 2.

Video 2 – Main results that compared usual care with peer befriending

 

We explored what people thought about peer-befriending. See video 3.

Video 3 – Results from interviews about what people with aphasia, significant others and peer-befrienders thought
