Last week President Professor Sir Paul Curran and Students’ Union President Kristina Perelygina signed the SDG Accord on behalf of City and City Students’ Union.
The SDG Accord is a commitment to support the UN Sustainable Development Goals and embed them into our education, research, leadership, operations and engagement activities.
The 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were established by world leaders to create a better world, end poverty, fight inequality and take action on climate change. Supporting the goals are measurable targets to guide governments, businesses and individuals to work together to build a better, sustainable future for all.
This is an important step that demonstrates City’s commitment to sustainability and builds on our existing strength as the greenest university in London.
