Staff and Students – Dissertation and research project opportunities

Using a Living Lab approach, the School of Science and Technology and the Property and Facilities department have teamed up on a dissertation project for the coming term. The research project will be reviewing City’s current solar panel installations on the Tait building, providing Christopher Pinheiro, Renewable Energy and Power System Management MSc student, with the opportunity to perform research in a real-life setting, working with City’s energy and electrical professionals. Assessing the current performance and formulating recommendations for improvement, the dissertation is expected to inform and increase renewable electricity generation on campus, contributing towards City’s net zero carbon emissions by 2040 commitment.
