Our e-Delphis are now open!

Today we launched our e-Delphis and we are looking for researchers (based anywhere) and for Speech and Language Therapists (based in the UK) to take part!

An e-Delphi is an online consensus-building process. Participants will be asked to complete two e-Delphis, each with three rounds, from April to October 2022. Each round online will take around 20-50 minutes to complete.

We’ll ask for people’s views about a proposed communication partner training (CPT) intervention that is broken down into behaviour change techniques (BCTs), and about the outcomes that people with aphasia and their family members might want to see if they received this intervention. As we go along, participants will find out how their views compare to the wider group. Participants do not need ANY prior knowledge of behaviour change theory; we provide all the guidance they need in the e-Delphis.

We are running two parallel e-Delphis – one for researchers and one for UK-based SLTs. These overlap considerably! Therefore, those who are eligible for either e-Delphi are asked to choose which e-Delphi is most relevant to their main role (researcher OR UK SLT), and to only register for one e-Delphi.

If you think you may be eligible to take part, and would like to find out more about what taking part would involve, please see the following page(s):

For UK-based SLTs: https://blogs.city.ac.uk/theaptproject/i-am-a-speech-and-language-therapist/

Those who would like to take part will first need to provide consent by 13th May 2022, using one of the links below:

Those who give consent will automatically receive an email with a link to the e-Delphi.

The deadline for completing Round 1 of the e-Delphi is 10th June 2022.

We are looking forward to hearing the views of researchers and SLTs about what CPT should include and what outcomes it should deliver to families living with aphasia.
