Staying connected and learning about HE during lockdown
With City’s campus temporarily closed and schools closed to all but a few pupils, the WP Outreach team have been unable to deliver our normal range of activities, welcome students on campus or visit local schools. So, we have decided to set up this blog to support young people to learn more about university, what it is like to be a student, learn about different subjects and gain the knowledge and skills they need to make well informed decisions about their education and navigate their future.
We will update it weekly with resources, links and information to provide young people, parents/carers and teachers with a virtual way of staying connected to City and learning more about university during lockdown.
We hope you find these resources useful, accessible and enjoyable. If you have any questions or feedback you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Alongside our blog we are maintaining our commitment to widening participation by:
- Working with schools to deliver careers information and guidance interviews and workshops.
- We are also putting together simple resource packs to support literacy and numeracy, to be distributed to young people most impacted by digital poverty. To find out more about this please contact email@example.com
Stay safe and keep in touch, we look forward to seeing you all again soon.
