More on Micro-Placements: City applications open now

The Micro-Placements Programme Expression of Interest form is now open for City students to apply! 

What is the Micro-Placements Programme?  

City Careers and Employability is back with the Micro-Placements Programme! The programme is a 15-credit elective that supports you to develop your CV, enhance your core employability skills and get a taste of the working worldIt is a great opportunity to take on a short-term career exploration related project in the summer and to build upon your work experience to differentiate yourself in the competitive job market!  

Why should I take part? 

We know how difficult the past 18 months have been within the pandemic, we are therefore particularly interested in bridging the gap and supporting you to boost your employability prospects through accessible work experience programmes such as ours.  

In comparison to year-long placements, Micro-Placements take place in the summer and are 4 weeks long (8 weeks part-time). Take part in a short-term placement that has long term impact on your career jurney! The best part is that you do not need experience to be eligible for this Programme!

We are also hosting an information/drop in clinic to address any questions you may have about the Programme – please join us on campus at BLG08, University Building, Northampton Square on Friday 8th October, 12-1pm!
