The project

Project phases

The 4 phases of the project are founded on combining clinician (Speech and Language Therapist) expertise and patient perspectives (families), with the best available research evidence.

Keeping it relevant: our steering group

The 4 phases of this research will be overseen by our expert steering group members. They are fantastic– and all bring highly valuable expertise to this process. See the ‘our team members’ page for more details.

The steering group is the backbone for this overall project. The group input into many areas, including:

  1. Research methods (e.g. helping to design an online survey for clinicians in phase 2)
  2. Analysing/interpreting results (e.g. deciding which study findings are important for the intervention)
  3. Disseminating key messages to the people who matter; this includes families and clinicians as well as other researchers
  4. Using the findings from phase 1-3 to co-create a ‘draft’ outline of an intervention, ahead of community co-design in the final phase.
