GSRC ONLINE WRITING RETREAT
6 & 7 July 2021

Do you need help finding the time and space to write, to focus on your writing, and to develop your writing plans? This writing retreat, which takes place online over 2 short days between 9:30-2pm, will involve both free writing and structured writing to targets alongside time for discussion and planning. It will offer a supportive and non-competitive environment in which to develop your writing, together with tips on publishing and writing skills and technique.
The online retreat is led by Professor Pat Thomson (University of Nottingham). Pat is well known for her interdisciplinary engagement with questions of creative and socially just learning and change, and has organised a wide range of writing workshops (including for the Sociological Review). Places are free. Registration is essential. Numbers are limited to 25.
Participants are welcome from any academic stage, PhD and above (eg PhD/ ECR/ Lecturer/ Professor), from people whose work connects in some way to gender and/or sexuality research, from any discipline, and who work or study at City.
