We are excited to introduce Graeme who has joined the Modernising Administration for Students team from SASS for a period of 6 months, where he was working as a Course Officer for Postgraduate Psychology. His focus will be primarily on the Assessments, Online Module Selection and SEAM projects.
Graeme’s experience of being a Course Officer is valuable to our team when working on projects that are improving the administrative process across the University.
Graeme has worked in Higher Education for over 8 years, starting at Birkbeck as a Course Administrator, then a Team Leader, moving to City in 2017 to start a new job as a Course Officer.
Graeme volunteers in the public sector alongside his full-time work and has qualifications in Graphic Design, Computer Science as well as Web Design and Development.
Outside of work Graeme enjoys swimming and has represented the University of London at British University and Colleges Sports (BUCS) Championships for several consecutive years whilst studying at Birkbeck. He also enjoys climbing, running (since COVID-19), yoga, camping, trekking and generally keeping fit.
He’s desperate to get out in the outdoors and COVID has already cancelled his two planned camping trips this year. But determined he is, as he is currently residing in Bournemouth during lockdown to make sure he gets a bit of fresh air and space to relax, perhaps even some Open Water Swimming, which is now allowed by Government Guidelines.
Please join us in welcoming Graeme to the MAfS team and say hi the next time you cross paths in a Teams call!
