We are always looking for volunteers to take part in our research projects or join our research advisory group. Current projects we are recruiting for are listed below. If you can take part we really appreciate your help – thank you!
Mother-baby interaction
We are examining how mums and babies play and interact, and the impact of traumatic birth and psychological well-being on this process. We are looking for mothers with babies aged 3 to 6 months to visit our Baby Lab at City, University of London and take part in a series of computer tasks and free-play. We particularly need women who experienced traumatic birth. You are eligible to take part if you are a woman, aged 16 or over, who has had a baby in the last 6 months. The study takes approximately 1 hour in the Baby Lab. Travel expenses will be paid.
We are looking for fathers whose wife or partner had a baby in the past 12 months, and who experienced the birth as traumatic, to take part in an online survey. The survey will ask about symptoms which some fathers report after witnessing a difficult or traumatic birth. We are interested in hearing from ALL fathers who experienced traumatic births, regardless of whether or not they feel they have experienced symptoms. Participants must be aged 18 or over. The survey should take about 15 minutes.
