Give them a statement that has for or against arguments
Get half the groups to write down inside the box all the arguments for the statement and half the groups to write down all the arguments against
Swap sheets of paper – the groups have to comment on the points outside the box, writing opposing arguments, critically evaluating the points and writing any queries or questions.
Return sheets to the original group
