Pair and whole class activity

This activity can be used to start off (opening activity) or summarise a topic/tutorial (closing activity).
- Have students form a circle
- Put some photographs or images on the floor in the middle of the circle.
- Ask students to choose a picture that reflects something they learnt in the lecture
OR
Ask the students to explain a photo/picture to the person next to them.
Online synchronous version
Share images via live session and ask students to add comments in the chat – you can pick some people to contribute vocally about the images. If you want smaller group discussions, ask students to discuss in a breakout room/channel with a specific time before they come back to the whole group. They can agree their summary and share it with the wider group.
Online asynchronous version
Share images via a forum in a blog format – ask students to add comments about them and add their own images with reasons why they reflect something from the course content, they can then comment on images.
