Instructions
- Divide the students into small groups
- Hand them all the blank sheet
- Give them a statement that has for or against arguments
- Get half the groups to write down inside the box all the arguments for the statement and half the groups to write down all the arguments against
- Swap sheets of paper – the groups have to comment on the points outside the box, writing opposing arguments, critically evaluating the points and writing any queries or questions.
- Return sheets to the original group

Alternatives:
- Pass the sheets on for another round where the students have to respond to the critiques.
