Instructions

  • Prepare resources for case studies/topics you want students to learn about
  • Use a range of resources eg. Texts, newspaper articles, images, links to videos
  • Before class prepare the museum by sticking the resources around the room for each case study
  • 4-5 exhibits of different case studies work well
  • Get the students to walk around the room and look at each of the exhibits

  • Gives all students something to discuss in a later activity
  • Forces all students to engage
  • Uses images and videos to account for learning differences
  • Gets students on their feet

Alternatives:

  • Prepare a worksheet with questions for students to answer from about each case study.

  • Resources can be collated in a Moodle book or Moodle lesson.
  • Ask students to view the resources online in preparation before an online synchronous session.
  • The resources can be shown again in the live session to start discussion.

Online asynchronous version

    • Resources can be collated in a Moodle book or Moodle lesson.
    • Ask students to view the resources online in preparation before an additional activity (quiz, online discussion, quiz within the Moodle lesson).
    • You can also ask students to find their own relevant resources which can be collated together into one document online.
