At City St George’s, undergraduate programmes have employability embedded into the curriculum. All City St George’s undergraduate students complete a credit-bearing Career Focus module, designed to help them develop the skills needed to stand out in competitive application processes.
The modules include course-specific alumni panel events. Would you consider supporting current students at City St George’s by participating in an alumni panel? Students place high value on meeting alumni, and they would benefit greatly from your insights into your profession, the skills needed, the challenges you have faced, and the successes you have had.
If you would like to be an alumni panellist and share your insights with current students, please choose from these online sessions:
1. School of Health and Psychological Sciences – Discover Careers with a Psychology Degree, Tuesday 18 February 2025, online, 18.00–19.30
Objective: To explore the broad range of non-clinical roles that align with a Psychology degree.
Required background: Professionals with a Psychology degree and from areas like Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, Learning & Development, and other related fields.
2. Bayes Business School Careers-Focused Module – Finance Alumni Panel, Tuesday 18 February 2025, online, 18.00–19.30
Objective: To inspire Finance students at Bayes Business School by showcasing the versatility of a Finance degree.
Required background: Exclusively open to professionals with a Finance degree from Bayes Business School and experience in the finance industry, or those who have transitioned into related fields like Actuarial Science or Accounting.
3. Discover Careers in Technology, Thursday 20 February 2025, online, 18.00–19.30
Objective: To inspire students by showcasing the diversity of roles in the Technology sector.
Required background: Professionals in Technology, with varied academic backgrounds, including at least 2 panellists from Cybersecurity technical roles, alongside others from areas like Software Development, Data Science, IT Consulting, or AI/ML.
4. School of Science and Technology – Explore Options with a Maths Degree, Thursday 27 February 2025, online, 18.00–19.30
Objective: To showcase the variety of career options available to students studying Maths.
Required background: Professionals with a Maths degree and from industries such as Data Science, Actuarial Science, Financial Modelling, Engineering, Teaching, or other fields that leverage strong mathematical skills.
