I hope you have enjoyed the summer. At your alma mater, we have been busy preparing for the new academic year and the arrival of our new and returning students.

Our commitment to putting students and the student experience at the heart of everything we do is reflected in impactful developments, such as the opening of the new Student Support Hub at our Clerkenwell and Tooting campuses. The Student Support Hub serves as a central, modern, and interactive location on campus, designed to provide in-person access to a wide range of essential services – from Careers & Employability and Student Support to Student Health & Wellbeing, and the City St George’s Students’ Union – all in one convenient space to ensure students receive the assistance they need.

I am also pleased to share that we are celebrating the first year of our innovative STEM Digital Academy (STEMDA). STEMDA is an initiative of our School of Science & Technology in collaboration with Higher Education Partners (HEP). It delivers fully online MSc programmes in Computer Science, which are designed for those looking to upskill in fields such as programming, AI, machine learning, data analytics, and cyber security. Students can start at any time and progress at their own pace, gaining the knowledge and skills needed to advance their careers in the ever-evolving tech industry.

Enabled by the merger to become City St George’s, University of London, and the creation of our new integrated School of Health & Medical Sciences, I am proud to report the recent launch of the City St George’s Research Radiographer Group (CRRA3G). Aligned with our institution’s role in fostering global engagement, employability, research and education, the launch of CRRA3G reflects the University’s commitment to advancing radiography through research, innovation and collaboration. By bringing together leading voices across academia, clinical practice, policy and industry, CRRA3G provides a strong foundation for future projects that will place radiographers at the forefront of healthcare research and practice.

I look forward to keeping you updated with news from City St George’s throughout the new academic year. Do look out for invitations and opportunities to benefit from alumni services, your connections across your University’s global alumni community, as well as your greatly appreciated support for our current students in their pursuit of joining our proud and distinguished alumni community of leaders, innovators and pioneers.

I hope you enjoy reading this edition of Alumni News, which is full of the successes of our alumni community, along with the latest news from the University.

Best wishes,

Anthony
