City, University of London has two exciting opportunities, enabling you to work with some of our current students and secure project support at no cost to you
Micro-Placements Programme 2022/2023:
Interested in providing our students professional work experience and have additional resource over summer 2023? The Micro-Placement Programme is an exciting social-mobility initiative which aims to place select City students, many of whom are from under-represented backgrounds, into short-term career-exploration placements during June and July 2023. We are currently looking to obtain placement projects to help support our students into developing their employability skills as well as provide organisations with a tangible project or deliverable of value – all with minimal financial and time commitments as we have a dedicated team to support you through the process!
Alumni have historically participated in the programme, offering current City students an opportunity to develop important skills and obtain professional-level work experience. Learn more about the host/student experience from a City alumni from last year.
Further information about the programme can be found here.
Industry Led Projects
City is offering free project support and an opportunity to engage with our talented and proactive final year undergraduate students, through our new curriculum-embedded Industry Projects module. It enables third and final year undergraduate City students from the Bayes Business School, The City Law School, the School of Policy & Global Affairs and the School of Communication & Creativity, an opportunity to work on a live project set by an organisation.
The Industry Led Project module will see City students (either in groups or individually) work on a live project set by an organisation, with the aim of providing tangible solutions and/or recommendations on issues outlined in the project brief.
It will enable students to gain a good understanding of some of the challenges faced by organisations and increase their commercial business awareness. It will also directly impact their graduate prospects, as research shows that students who have professional experiences are more likely to succeed in the graduate labour market.
Further information about the module can be found here.
