A recent graduate from the Doctorate of Musical Arts, pianist Clare Hammond, is to perform at the City of London Festival in June 2013 as part of their Young Artists’ Series. She will give the world premiere of Hortus Musicae, a cycle of five pieces specially written for her by the composer Robert Saxton. This will be combined with pieces for left hand by Saxton and Bach-Brahms, and little known miniatures by Hamilton Harty and Jean Sibelius.
