New article by Gerbrand Tholen published in Sociology

A new article by Gerbrand Tholen has appeared ahead of print online in Sociology.  The paper is named ‘Symbolic Closure: Towards a Renewed Sociological Perspective on the Relationship between Higher Education, Credentials and the Graduate Labour Market’. Tholen examines how graduate workers are able to create labour market advantage over other graduates and non-graduates in times where there is little clarity about what exactly graduate skills and graduate jobs are.
